This learning path provides educators with an overview of the Danielson Framework for Teaching and an in-depth exploration of the off-stage domains. Dr. Paula Bevan, charter member of the Danielson Group and co-author of Implementing the Framework for Teaching in Enhancing Professional Practice: An ASCD Action Tool, serves as a guide as participants explore the critical components and elements that comprise Domain 1: Planning and Preparation and Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities. Through a variety of videos, collaborative discussions, interactive tools, reflections, and self-assessments, participants will gain a practical understanding of the off-stage domains that will support their growth as effective educators and teacher leaders.
Learning Path Outcomes:
- Gain an understanding of Danielson’s research-based standards known as the “Framework;”
- Identify components of the “off-stage” domains;
- Reflect on current performance related to Planning and Preparation and Professional Responsibilities; and
- Apply off-stage domain strategies to professional practice.
