SCCOE – Integrated and Designated English Language Development (ELD) Toolkit for All Teachers





This online course is designed to deepen understanding of the California ELD Standards (especially Part II), provide planning support for teaching content and ELD standards in tandem, and support collaboration among educators in meeting the language and literacy needs of English learners. Participants will engage in three interactive modules that will guide them through a journey of exploration, discussion, application, and reflection.

Please note: Three university credits are available for an additional $210. To receive credit, please contact Santa Clara County Office of Education.

Learning Path Outcomes: 
  • Explore Part II of the California ELD Standards.
  • Navigate the ELD Toolkit and locate key resources.
  • Apply the ELD Standards to the development of an integrated and/or designated ELD Lesson.
  • Implement an integrated and/or designated ELD lesson, and reflect on its efficacy.
